Semester #1 Horse Behavior:
This semester will be focused on horse behavior and psychology. Your child will learn how horses communicate through body language and eye contact. We will also be studying prey and predator animals.
Semester #2 Exploring Nature:
Exploring a Michigan Autumn at the farm! Hiking in the woods, science experiments, and exploring nature.
Semester #3 Horse Science:
We will be diving into the anatomy of the horse. Your child will be learning all about the horses digestive track, teeth, hoofs, organs, and skeletal system.
Semester #4 Horse Knowledge:
In this semester your child will be learning what it takes to be a horse owner. We will also be doing a breed study.
Cost: $225 per student per semester. $25 non refundable deposit due to reserve spot. Balance of $200 due by the first day of class. No make up days or refunds for missed classes. Each semester is 5 weeks long and will include some horseback riding lessons during the classes.

Our Jr. Ranch Hand Program gives kids a hands on and in-depth look at how to care for horses. They will walk away from this program having a good grasp on responsibility, what a good work ethic looks like, team work skills, self awareness, and a sense of accomplishment. Kids will also have an hour riding lesson and get introduced to natural horsemanship.
The course runs 9am to 2pm, 1 day a week for 5 weeks. For ages 10+. Limit 3 students per group. No make up days or refunds for missed classes.
9am: Drop off time - Getting prepared for the day.
9:15am: Begin feeding the horses breakfast.
10am: Clean up after feeding - water the horses - restock grain bins - tidy up the barn.
11am: Muck horses paddocks.
Noon: Lunch - down time.
12:30pm: Odds and ends around the farm - evening food prep.
1pm: Riding lesson.
2pm: Pick up time.

$325 / $25 Deposit due to hold slot. Remaining $300 due first day.

•Must wear jeans, pants, or leggings. NO shorts.
•Muck boots (or boots / shoes that can get wet and dirty).
•Waiver (you can print and fill out or fill one out at drop off on the first day).
•Riding Helmet (if you don’t have one we have several).
We offer weekly homeschool lessons (example: every Wednesday @ 11am).
Homeschool lessons are offered September - May on Tuesdays 2pm-4pm and Wednesdays 10am-4pm.
Single Lesson: $50
4 Lesson Pack: $180 (expires in 6 months)
10 Lesson Pack: $425 (expires in 1 year)
The cost is per horse and we allow 2 siblings to share a horse and split the lesson.
We do not have a credit card system but except: checks, cash, and Venmo.
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. With weekly lessons we prefer a 1 week notice for needing to skip a lesson but require a 24 hour notice. Multiple cancellations /skipped lessons could result in the loss of your standing weekly lesson. If less then 24 hour notice is given we will take a punch off your punch card or require you to pay for the missed appointment before booking any future lessons.
•Pony Up is ages 6-7.
•Horsing Around is ages 8-11.
•Trail Adventure is ages 12-17.
Kids under 8 can only do indoor lessons.
Ages 8-12 can trail ride after they have met the skill requirements during indoor lessons.
Our lessons average 45-60 minutes and we schedule on the hour. The first 5-10 minutes is used for grooming and tacking, then a 40-50 minute lesson, followed by 5 minutes of untacking and grooming.
